The Lyric Theatre Complex has been designed to showcase the best of Hong Kong and international dance and theatre performances. The mixed-use complex will consist of a 1,450-seat lyric theatre, a 600-seat medium theatre and a 270-seat studio theatre.
Located in the West Kowloon Cultural District, the Lyric Theatre Complex takes advantage of its waterfront position, offering sweeping views to the north and south from its large windows.
In addition to the 3 theatres, the venue offers 8 dance and rehearsal studios, 1 large rehearsal hall, company offices, information centre, restaurants and a rooftop garden, providing an inviting and vibrant creative space for both performers and the public.

Our Brief
Marshall Day Acoustics is responsible for the full acoustic design of all spaces, including the room acoustics for the theatre and full noise and vibration control for the development, which is partially located above the MTR and Airport Express Rail Lines.
In addition to the Lyric Theatre, a smaller 600 seat Medium Theatre also requires careful acoustic design to ensure it excels with its primary function as a drama and spoken word theatre.
Finally, the Studio Theatre and large rehearsal rooms will provide the flexibility and accommodation for the tenants of the Resident Company Centre (also in the project).
