Thomas Scelo

Dr Thomas Scelo is the Director of the Hong Kong office specialising in the acoustic design of music spaces and architectural buildings. He has been working in the field of acoustics since 1999, starting as a research fellow and acoustic testing officer at the Acoustic Research Centre of the University of Auckland, New Zealand. In 2006, Thomas joined Marshall Day Acoustics.

Thomas has extensive experience in the acoustical design of music spaces and room acoustic measurements. He is experienced in 3D Rhino computer design, Odeon simulations, auralisations and measurements in various scale models for large projects such as the Philharmonie de Paris, Jiangsu Grand Theatre and the West Kowloon Cultural District in Hong Kong. His sound insulation experience spans from design, performance specifications and predictions for innovative solutions to the construction and testing in cultural, educational, commercial and industrial buildings.
