Bill Wood

Bill’s experience includes over 25 years researching, assessing and advising on the environmental effects of noise. Prior employment at Opus International Consultants Central Laboratories in Gracefield, Lower Hutt included research evaluating the validity of Transit New Zealand traffic noise guidelines for low noise areas; evaluation of noise prediction models for NZ application; and investigation into the noise and safety properties of various types of road surface and the longevity of effects of any noise reductions.

Originally from Nelson, Bill first joined Marshall Day Acoustics’ Wellington office in 2004. Since then, Bill has gained a diversity of experience in acoustics consultancy and has developed skills in many project sectors including building acoustics, mechanical services noise control and environmental noise modelling and measurement.
