Markus is an acoustic engineer in the Christchurch office. He holds a Masters degree in Acoustics from the University of Salford, United Kingdom. His master thesis examined the sound radiation of cross-laminated-timber (CLT) from ground-borne vibrations for the tallest timber-framed building in Amsterdam (Netherlands).
Prior to working at Marshall Day, Markus has worked as an acoustic consultant in both Germany and the Netherlands. Since joining Marshall Day, he has been engaged in the full range of acoustic applications, focusing on the effects of vibration to structures and the human body, and environmental noise applications.
Markus enjoys dedicating his leisure time to volunteering within the local community. His greatest passions are volleyball, cycling, the Brazilian culture, food and language.
